China, 1967. The student Chen Zhen (Feng Shaofeng) will live with the nomads in Mongolia. It is there that the young man begins to take care of a wolf cub, secretly. But the extent to which the animal grows, it becomes difficult for Chen to keep this secret until the wolf howl draws the attention of his pack, which part of the animal search, bringing danger to the nomads.
